HOW IT’S MADE

Farm

Our delicious coffee goes through a careful and extensive growing process, to create our ever-so juicy coffee cherries, which in turn contain our beans of joy used for your morning cup of great tasting speciality coffee. 

Roasting

The green coffee beans arrive at our roastery, ready to be roasted into our flavoursome coffee, whether that be the fruity, nutty or winey that you crave.

In Your Cup

Our beans are then delivered to your doorstep, where you can embark on your tasting adventure, beginning your day with a smile in your face, whether this be at home or in our homely Mettricks coffee shops, with a yellow mug by your side.

HOW IT STARTED

In 2021, our sister company Mettricks announced we planned to start roasting our own coffee and thanks to your support in helping raise the funds, we were able to bring home our very own roaster! Bought from our friends Hard Lines Coffee who we’re eternally grateful for helping us get up and running.

In 2023, after dialling in our process and building relationship with suppliers and growers, we launched Ascapart Coffee Roasters - a Southampton focussed brand with a giant heart - based in the Portswood Mettricks Coffee Shop with big plans in 2024.

Since then, we have been roasting all of the coffee used in Mettricks coffee shops and of course, freshly packaged to take home and buy online.

Thanks to our amazing team, we are forever improving and finetuning our iconic speciality coffee, to deliver new flavours and smiles to your home.

MEET OUR ROASTER

Meet Wilson, our highly experienced head of coffee, and the one who roasts our delicious coffee for you every week.

Wilson has a wealth of experience in various industries, but it’s Speciality Coffee where he found his calling, working his way up to owning his own roastery and training academy in Hong Kong, before relocating to Southampton to head up Ascapart Coffee.

A certified Q-grader, WIlson is one of only a few thousand people in the world that can truly grade Speciality Coffee, ensuring every bean in Ascapart Coffee is the highest quality.
